TEXSON’S HOUSTON TEXAN’S PREDICTATHON 2021-2022: The Untankable Texans.

Greetings Texan’s Fans. Your old buddy TEXSON here. Back again at the old keyboard to preview my personal take on this year’s - Houston Texan’s.

Yet this season has old TEXSON with more questions than answers. That's good because maybe y'all got the answers. If you do, write 'em down and send them to the big guys over on Kirby.. please.

First up is the hiring of David Cully, I still say "David Who?" to this because this decision of hiring a 65-year-old coach who has never been a head coach or OC/DC of anything until now, just doesn’t make any sense. Maybe AARP forced the Texans’ hands.

Then the team loaded their roster with has-beens, wannabes, never wills and are you kidding mes. In the off-season they grabbed more linebackers than plastic surgeries in a reality series to compete in the NFL regular season.

It is the determination of this Texans fan, that the tank is on and tank they shall. Their goal to grab that coveted 1st Pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. However, if you know the Texans like I know the Texans (since 2002) they are bound to miss their target. It is after all "the Patriot Texan Way.

So, grab your paper bag mask and put it on my fellow "Unknown Texan Fan". This is the way I see our Houston Texans Season in 2021-2022.

SEASON RECORD

4-13

These predictions, though optimistic on my part, have the Texans winning four games which is about where many of the professional prognosticators see the team this season. I will note that I almost gave the team 6 wins that included a sweep of Jacksonville and a win over NE, but knowing our team I just couldn’t justify.

I have also included this season only the bottom of the barrel qualifiers to show how I think the race for first pick will pan out.

So based on my calculations, it seems that the Texans blow it for first pick, but assure a top 10 pick. What they will do with that pick is another Fan Post.

I thank you for your time reading the Predict-a-thon this year. Please post your comments below and I will try to respond in a timely manner, if needed. Go Texans!!!
