The Houston Texans went from calling about David Johnson, to trading for David Johnson, to trading DeAndre Hopkins and a fourth round pick for David Johnson, a second round pick, and a 2021 fourth round pick.
By doing this, the Texans traded a future Hall of Fame wide receiver, one of the three best receivers in the league, someone who has missed one game in his entire career, a guy who had carried offenses by catching passes thrown from hilariously awful quarterbacks to acquire a running back, a running back who will be paid $11.156 million in 2020, a guy who was the third best running back in Arizona in 2019, a dude who has a skill set that’s redundant with Duke Johnson, a man who has had one great season going all the way back to 2016.
Bill O’Brien has full control of the Texans’ roster to build the team exactly how he wants it. Well, here it is, folks. Your wish has been granted.
In today’s episode, Matt Weston and BFD break down the Hopkins trade and answer your questions. Lock yourself indoors. Stay inside unless you need to pick up essentials. Stay away from your geezers. Smash that play button.
