All year long, players dream for this moment. They fight all season long for this opportunity. Punching, tackling, throwing, blocking, grabbing, gouging, and running to score points, to win games, so that one day they can be called a champion.
An AFC South Champion, that is. Here it is. If the Texans win and the Titans lose (Ed. Note: They didn’t), they’ll have clinched their fifth AFC title, the third in Bill O’Brien’s career, eclipsing Gary Kubiak as the greatest coach in franchise history. I will be at home, tired and lifeless, filled back up once kickoff start. These are games, moments, and little blims that add meaning to the meaningless.
What about you? What do you have going on? Are you going to NRG Stadium to see the tenth win a row? Is there a spot where you’ll consume cheese on potato wedges and giant brunch beers? Do you need eight screens in front of you so you can chase the red dot to follow your fantasy football playoffs? Will you be flipping cars in your neighborhood in ecstasy to celebrate another AFC South title?
Whatever your plans, let us know in the Comments. If you’re still trying to figure out what you’re going to do, or if you’ll be a stranger in a strange land looking for somewhere to catch the game, pose any queries here; someone might have a suggestion for you. Similarly, if you’ve got a worthy spot staked out somewhere and want to clue fellow Texans fans in to it, please divulge that information in the Comments as well.
