The Houston Texans welcome the New York Giants this afternoon to the friendly confines of NRG Stadium. Neither the Texans nor the Giants have managed to eek out a victory this season, so, barring some frustrating nonsense that results in a tie, one of these two teams will end up in the win column, finally.
Going into the game, the Texans appear excited and confident. Jadeveon Clowney will return to action after missing last week (in terms of game time; he still managed to end up impacting the game with his penalty); Tyrann Mathieu is excited about taking on Odell Beckham Jr.; and DeAndre Hopkins will be facing the Giants’ secondary. Not to sound the alarm, but if this team is to go anywhere this season, it can’t begin the season 0-3 or 0-2-1.
This is where we’re counting down until the action begins. The first open thread will post at 11:45 a.m. Central. Until then, you can chat about the game here.
