Countdown To Kickoff: Texans v. Jaguars

Texans fans can chat about their pre-game feelings before Houston plays Jacksonville, right here, right now, here at Battle Red Blog.

Today Houston plays Jacksonville in a very beautiful football game. The Houston Texans are 1-6 because they beat the Jaguars once. The Jaguars are 1-6 because they beat the Indianapolis Colts all the way back in Week One. This afternoon, we get the continuation of things we have seen since 2002. The Texans and Jaguars, both being bad football teams, clasping their hands together and playing bad football again.

What’s a Jake Luton, you may ask? You don’t know. I don’t know. Nobody knows. No one has ever watched him play before. Jake Luton doesn’t exist. Even the haters and losers at Pro Football Focus have never seen him play. The ratings they have for him are fake. He’s just something an unpaid intern put together in a pirated version of Photoshop. 73.8? Oregon State? Sounds good to me.

This is who is playing football for the Jaguars today. On the opposite sideline is fringe top five NFL quarterback Deshaun Watson, who is toiling away and playing the best football of his life. The Jaguars have the worst passing defense in the league. Watson is very good at throwing the football. The Texans should score a lot of points today. The only thing that can stop them is David Johnson carrying the football.

Enjoy today’s game in Jacksonville. The first open thread will be published at 11:45 a.m. CST. Hang out here and hang in there until then.
