Fantasy Football Projections: Texans at Browns

Soothsaying for your fantasy team when the Texans play the Browns.

After a surprising win and a ton of yards racked up, the Texans’ offense will once again look to run up the scorecard. There were plenty of surprises on Houston’s offense in the season opening win over the Jaguars. Recently signed Danny Amendola was WR2 and was tied for the second most targets. He was tied with tight end Pharaoh Brown, who was not predicted to register a target. Brown is the same type of tight end as Darren Fells; brought in to be a run specialist but somehow turns into a red zone threat.

Speaking of threats, did you see what Mark Ingram did against the Jags? An eye-popping 26 carries is a significant load for perennial Hall of Fame running backs. This would be impressive for Ingram during his prime, so it’ll be interesting to see if this workload remains the same. For now, we’ll adjust to the new offensive stats.

One note for the Texans: Anthony Miller should be back and will work to assume the WR2 role. He supplants Chris Conley at this position. Miller is a supreme athlete, but I have predicted a lower yardage amount due to him being on the mend and being targeted on third down.

The Texans play Cleveland, whose running attack is one of the premiere in the game. Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt are possibly the best duo in the league. It seems like Odell Beckham Jr. will miss another game this week, but the Browns shouldn't need him to beat the Texans.
