It looks like Wes Welker’s interview with the 49ers went well, as Aaron Wilson is reporting that the guy who was Julian Edelman before Edelman was Edelman is now San Francisco’s wide receivers coach.
49ers made it official today, announcing that former Texans assistant Wes Welker has been named wide receivers coach.

Welker was an offensive assistant in Houston for the past two seasons. The gig in San Francisco is undeniably a promotion from what he was doing with the Texans, so no surprise to see him move on. Best of luck to Welker as he continues his coaching career with the 49ers.
