We already knew tonight would mark the dawn of The Davis Mills Experience with Tyrod Taylor on the IR for at least three weeks. Unfortunately for Houston’s defense, the Texans will also be without the services of two defensive starters, as Justin Reid and Kamu Grugier-Hill are also unavailable to face the Panthers tonight thanks to injuries suffered in the loss to the Browns four days ago.
NFL source: #Texans safety Justin Reid (knee) and LB Kamu Grugier-Hill (knee), two of their best players on defense, will NOT play tomorrow night against Carolina.

On the other side of the ball, in addition to being without Nico Collins, Mills will have to make his way tonight without the receiving safety valve that is Danny Amendola.
Texans ruled out Danny Amendola (hamstring), Deshaun Watson (non-injury reasons), Terrance Mitchell (concussion). Kamu Grugier-Hill (knee) questionable. Justin Reid (sprained knee) is questionable and not expected to play against the Panthers, according to a league source

We’re entering Week Three, and the Texans are positively reeling on the injury front. This would be a tall task for any QB to navigate, much less a rookie making his first professional start.
