Earlier today, David Culley announced that Ka’imi Fairbairn would not play in Houston’s regular season opener against the Jaguars. Shortly thereafter, the Texans took things a step further, putting their kicker on Injured Reserve, which means Fairbairn will also miss at least the games against the Browns and Panthers as well.
The Texans put kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn on injured reserve. He will miss at least three weeks.

This presumably means that the recently signed Joey Slye will be promoted from the practice squad to the 53-man roster on or before Sunday. Adjust your fantasy football lineups or draft rankings accordingly.
