One of the underrated parts of the NFL schedule in December is that for a couple of glorious weeks, we’re treated to professional football on a Saturday instead of just Sunday (and Thursday and Monday, but you know what I mean). Week 16 is one such special time, and this year’s scheduling overlords have decreed that your Houston Texans shall face their opponent that week—the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay—at noon CST on Saturday, December 21st instead of the usual Sunday date.
Texans-Buccaneers' kickoff has been shifted to Dec. 21 at noon, a Saturday, from original Dec. 22 date.— Aaron Wilson (@AaronWilson_NFL) November 12, 2019
Note that the game will air locally on FOX 26; those of you outside the Houston viewing area will have to catch the game on the NFL Network.
This change conceivably means you’re free to do some last minute Christmas shopping on Sunday, December 22nd. Are you psyched or nonplussed by this development?
