You might have heard that the Texans defeated the Patriots a few nights ago. A big reason that happened was the play of one Deshaun Watson. Fortunately, the powers that be noticed and have awarded DW4 with the NFL’s AFC Offensive Player of the Week award for his performance in Week 13.
#Texans QB @deshaunwatson has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 13.

This marks his 3rd POW award this season (Week 3 & 5) and the 4th of his career. Watson is the first player in franchise history to win three Player of the Week awards in the same season. pic.twitter.com/9pcqB7mKfF
When a QB throws for three touchdowns, catches another, and beats the standard for excellence in the sport in front of a national audience on Sunday Night Football, I reckon it’s hard to give it to anyone else.
#Texans QB @deshaunwatson completed 18-of-25 passes (72.0%) for 234 yards, 3 TDs, no INTs & a 140.7 rating. He also caught a 6-yd TD & joined Jim McMahon (Week 4 of 1985) as the only players to have at least 3 pass TDs and a rec. TD in a regular season game in the Super Bowl era. pic.twitter.com/IcaUE6off7
