We talked about it earlier this week, so this is hardly a surprise. Your Houston Texans wisely decided to take advantage of their ability to exercise a fifth year of contractual control on Will Fuller’s rookie contract.
#Texans have picked up the fifth-year option on receiver Will Fuller V (@Will_Fuller7) which is worth $10.1 million.

The Texans have exercised the fifth-year option on WR Will Fuller, their first-round pick in 2016. He'll make $10.162 million in 2020.

This means the Texans’ WR2 will remain in Houston through the 2020 season before (potentially) becoming a free agent. Congratulations are in order to both the organization and Will Fuller V. Here’s hoping the Notre Dame product stays on the field over the next two years and forces the Texans to consider paying him a bunch of money to stay in Houston for the rest of his prime.
