Houston Texans Exercise Will Fuller’s Fifth-Year Option

Fitting that this happens for the Texans’ 2016 first round draft pick the day after the 2019 NFL Draft began.

We talked about it earlier this week, so this is hardly a surprise. Your Houston Texans wisely decided to take advantage of their ability to exercise a fifth year of contractual control on Will Fuller’s rookie contract.

This means the Texans’ WR2 will remain in Houston through the 2020 season before (potentially) becoming a free agent. Congratulations are in order to both the organization and Will Fuller V. Here’s hoping the Notre Dame product stays on the field over the next two years and forces the Texans to consider paying him a bunch of money to stay in Houston for the rest of his prime.
