Aaron Wilson is reporting that Houston Texans guard Max Scharping has tested positive for Coronavirus.

The Texans subsequently issued this statement, without specifically naming Scharping, announcing they are closing their facilities today in the wake of a positive COVID-19 test from one of their players:

With the Texans off on a bye this week, this development shouldn’t put any NFL games this weekend in jeopardy. It remains to be seen what, if any, effect it will have on the Texans’ Week 9 tilt against the Jaguars. Whether he’s showing symptoms or not, all the best to Max Scharping as he works toward recovery.
