Who will Texans play in Wild Card round?

The Houston Texans are in the playoffs, and now they will sit on the couch to see who they play next week.

The Houston Texans have punched their ticket to the playoffs after Saturday night’s 23-19 win against the Indianapolis Colts.

The win has the Texans in the playoffs for the first time since 2019, but Houston doesn’t know who it will play in next week’s Wild Card round.

Here’s the guide for who they will play:

If the Jacksonville Jaguars lose to the Tennessee Titans (12 p.m. CT, CBS), the Texans will win the AFC South, grab the No. 4 seed and lock themselves in to play the Cleveland Browns at home.

If the Jaguars win, they clinch the AFC South and the Texans will become a Wild Card for the first time in franchise history.

Then, the Texans will need to pay attention to Sunday Night Football between the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins (7:20 p.m. CT, NBC).

If the Bills win, they become the No. 2 seed, the Dolphins slot into the Wild Card spot at No. 6 and the Texans sit in at No. 7, lining them up to play Buffalo.

If the Dolphins win, they become the No. 2 seed and the Pittsburgh Steelers get into the postseason as a Wild Card. Because the Texans have the tiebreaker over the Steelers, they would be the No. 6 seed playing the Kansas City Chiefs. The Steelers would then be No. 7 visiting the Dolphins.
