NOTES:

  • Randall Cobb and Kenny Stills both left the game in the first quarter with injuries and did not return. This allowed Keke Coutee to step into an expanded role, and he took advantage of the opportunity. Coutee played in a season-high 35 snaps (57%) with two catches for 10 yards and scored his first touchdown of the season. With a short week, expect Coutee to factor more into the passing game Thursday against the Lions.
  • Rookie OT Charlie Heck played his first NFL snap. The fourth-round pick has often been a healthy scratch for the team this season, but with All-Pro Laremy Tunsil (flu) unavailable for the game, Heck found a chance to see the field.
  • Rookie LB Jonathan Greenard picked up his first NFL sack on Cam Newton. Greenard played 18 defensive snaps (26%) in the win.
  • DT P.J. Hall left the game with an injury after 16 defensive snaps (23%) and will be placed on IR. Expect rookie DT Ross Blacklock to see the field more moving forward.
