Your Thanksgiving Day begins in Detroit with a surprise team looking to stay ahead and a desperate attempt to keep one team’s season alive.

The Lions enter this game 4-6 and dead last in the NFC North. A win could keep them in the conversation but a loss would totally devastate their hopes for the final five games. It will be difficult to win today, however, as leading rusher Kerryon Johnson is out with an injury.

But Chicago is not immune to the Thanksgiving injury bug either. QB Mitchell Trubisky will miss his first start since being named the starter in Week 5 last season with a shoulder bruise. Therefore, journeyman QB Chase Daniel will make his first start since 2014 in hopes to increase the Bears’ winning streak from four to five.

Both teams face challenges and completely different situations coming into this game. Now it’s time to see who rises to the occasion and who will happily eat that turkey leg at the end of the game.
