After trailing 16-0 in the third quarter, your Houston Texans stormed back to defeat the Buffalo Bills 22-19 in overtime at NRG Stadium in the first game of the 2019 NFL Playoffs yesterday. Reaction during and after the game was frequently intense and sometimes educational. Here’s a smattering of what some, including Justin Reid, Taiwan Jones, Ka’imi Fairbairn, Carlos Hyde, DeAndre Hopkins, J.J. Watt, Deshaun Watson, and Bill O’Brien, had to say about the Texans’ memorable comeback to advance to the second round of the postseason for just the fourth time in franchise history.

Taiwan Jones @TaiwanJonesNFL on key 34-yard catch that set up game-winning kick in OT: 'That was a moment I’ll always remember. It was a great call and a great play by Deshaun Watson. I just happened to be in the right position. He made the adjustment to get me in that route'

Taiwan Jones cont. 'I don’t know how he got free, but he did and it shows the kind of athlete he is. He threw it to me right on point and the rest is history.”

As I tweeted earlier (https://t.co/9zrukbYnx5) , I noticed that after @DeAndreHopkins went to the bench following his fumble, he & (coach) Andre Johnson were then standing together talking about the play. So I asked Hopkins about the words that he & @johnson80 shared. @KPRC2 pic.twitter.com/VPjhE5L55k

DeAndre Hopkins said they wanted him one-on-one versus Tre'Davious White in the second half: "We knew, I guess, if I got outside that we would get that matchup one-on-one more, and that's what we wanted. When we got it, we took advantage of it." pic.twitter.com/oxY15MMyY7

Bill O'Brien on J.J. Watt's sack: "The crowd really helped us in the fourth quarter ... J.J. got the crowd going ... Houston fans, they're great, because they're going to let you know when you're not playing well, and they're going to let you know when you are playing well." pic.twitter.com/CWgdgcPc67

J.J. Watt: "You add Deshaun Watson to a spark, you're gonna have one hell of a fire." pic.twitter.com/p5WD1YSRE3
— Rivers McCown (@riversmccown) January 5, 2020
J.J. Watt: "There were a lot of people who were questioning it or calling me crazy or telling me that I shouldn't be doing what I'm doing. But nobody knows what those feelings feel like ... so, quite frankly, I don't really care what anybody else says. I did it for those moments. pic.twitter.com/J4TzMReCTC
