Every year on Veterans Day, I publish the following quote from Woodrow Wilson. Wilson was the President of our United States when this holiday was officially recognized, and his sage words capture how I feel about those who have served our country.
"To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations…"
To all those who are reading this who are serving or have served our great nation, whether you’re a fan of the Houston Texans or not, please accept our sincere appreciation for what you have done and/or continue to do. To all of those reading this who have had a loved one serve, please know we cannot express sufficient gratitude for the sacrifices you made as well. Thank you.
