SB Nation FanPulse: The Confidence Of Texans Fans Has Crashed Anew

New, comments

One home loss to a team everyone thought the Texans should beat has crushed the optimism of Houston fans.

Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across the NFL, powered by SurveyMonkey. Each week, we send 32 polls to 100+ plugged in fans from each team. Texans fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.

Last week, Texans fans were flying high. A win over the Chargers in Los Angeles had many of us (or at least many of those who were surveyed) feeling like the Texans were back on the right track. Optimism abounded, and it figured to only climb higher if/when the Texans defeated the Carolina Panthers at NRG Stadium.

Then the Texans actually played the Panthers and laid a sizable egg. The confidence of Texans fans was affected. Just a wee bit.

That 65% confidence rate in Week 4 plummeted to 14% in Week 5. The roller coaster of Texans fandom, indeed.

Do you predict yet another sea change based on how the Texans perform against the Falcons on Sunday? Or will this team find its level?
