NOTES:

  • With Duke Johnson inactive due to an ankle injury, David Johnson played 56/59 offensive snaps (95%). Third-string RB and former Seahawk C.J. Prosise made his Texans debut Sunday, playing in the three snaps in which Johnson was on the bench.
  • The Texans continued to prominently feature Jordan Akins in their offense. For a second straight week, Akins played more than 80% of the snaps. The third-year tight end from UCF recorded a career-high seven receptions and his 55 receiving yards were the second-best in his career. Darren Fells also played an important role, playing in 24/59 offensive snaps (41%) and catching the Texans’ only touchdown in the second quarter.
  • It was not a good day for the 2020 Texans rookie class. After playing in 46% of defensive snaps last week, CB John Reid was seen only on special teams. The only other rookie to get defensive snaps yesterday was second-round pick Ross Blacklock, who was ejected from the game in the fourth quarter after playing only 17 snaps (26%).
