NOTES:

  • Max Scharping made his NFL debut, starting and playing all 60 offensive snaps at left guard. The move to insert Scharping at left guard bumped fellow rookie Tytus Howard over to right tackle. Houston’s offensive line allowed just two sacks, their lowest total and best game of the season so far.
  • Both Darren Fells and Jordan Akins had their best games of the young season, combining for three of the team’s four touchdowns. Fells outsnapped Akins 39-27, but the latter still had a stronger impact. Akins found the end zone for the first time in his career, and Fells found the end zone for the first time as a Texan.
